Why choose Nutritional Therapy and Functional Medicine
After nearly two decades in practice, I’ve seen how often women are left feeling dismissed, frustrated, or told that their symptoms are “just part of getting older.” Often, feeling that something is off with health, while blood tests come back “normal”.
My approach combines Nutritional Therapy with Functional Medicine so we can go deeper — looking for the root that creates of bloating, fatigue, sleep issues, or hormonal shifts, rather than only managing the surface symptoms.

What is Functional Medicine?
Functional Medicine is a client-centred, holistic approach that seeks to uncover the root causes of health issues rather than simply addressing symptoms. I know how frustrating it can be to feel unwell without any clear answers. Functional medicine works differently—instead of just managing your symptoms, we investigate why they're happening in the first place.
We look at everything: your gut health, hormones, nutrition, stress levels, sleep, and more. Because your body is interconnected, an issue in one area often affects another. By understanding your unique story and using advanced testing when needed, we can address what's really going on and help you feel truly well again—not just "fine."
-
Addresses Root Causes
We dig deep into your unique health story to identify what’s driving your symptoms, whether it’s gut imbalances, toxins, or nutrient deficiencies.
-
Personalised Plan
Every plan is tailored to your specific needs, ensuring the most effective approach to restoring your health.
-
Prevention-Focused
Functional medicine not only looks into existing conditions but also works to prevent future health issues by addressing underlying imbalances.
-
Holistic Approach
This method looks at the body as an interconnected system, considering how lifestyle, nutrition, and environmental factors impact your health.
-
Supports Chronic Conditions
Functional medicine is particularly effective for managing chronic conditions like digestive disorders, autoimmune diseases, and hormonal imbalances.
-
Empowering You
You’re actively involved in your plan, with a focus on sustainable lifestyle changes that support your long-term health.
-
Testing for Precision
Functional medicine often includes advanced testing to provide a detailed picture of your health, such as microbiome analysis, hormone levels, and toxin exposure.
-
Focuses on Biochemical Individuality
I consider your unique genetics, environment, and lifestyle to create a plan specifically for you.
Why Work with Me?
I’m Kate and I’m a BANT‑registered Nutritional Therapist with nearly twenty years of experience and specialised training in Functional Medicine. I use a comprehensive, evidence‑based approach to identify and address the root causes of your health issues and I have already successfully helped over 2000 clients. I combine advanced diagnostics with a solid holistic personalised health plan.
I choose this way of working because it gives women the clarity, tools, and support they need to make lasting changes. It’s not about quick fixes or rigid diets — it’s about understanding your body’s story and creating realistic strategies that help you feel lighter, calmer, and more energised in midlife and beyond.
What My Clients Say:
“Thanks so much for all your advice, support and inspiration in helping me get back on track with a healthier lifestyle and the many rewards I am getting already: more energy, waking up looking forward to the day ahead and feeling so much more lively (and fitting back into some of the clothes which I thought I would have to kiss good bye). The most lasting and positive changes are those that happen subtly, over time, rather than suddenly and dramatically. Thank you so much for helping me introduce better nutrition in a way that fits in so well with my day to day life - and for helping me achieve such a positive change in such an enjoyable way with some truly delicious recipe ideas.”

What My Clients Say:
“After many years of GP visits and tests without getting anywhere with my chronic fatigue and urticaria I decided to try a different route. Kate was not the first nutritionist I tried. However she's the one I stuck with because I felt like she really listened and cared. She understood the physical and emotional state I was in and persevered till we got the answers to my problem. I now have my energy back and have a much healthier yet more satisfying diet which I'm happy to continue with. I have recommended Kate to many friends and family and would continue to do so.”
